Description:
Low-growing, almost stemless perennial herb. Leaves in a basal rosette, sessile, filiform, 7-14 cm long, purplish near the base, scabrid and often glandular. Capitula clustered at the base of the leaf rosettes, bright yellow. Ray-florets up to 7 mm, 3-dentate at the apex.
Notes:
Derivation of specific name: filifolia: with very long and narrow, strap-shaped or filiform leaves.
Habitat: In various types of grassland, vleis and floodplains.

Worldwide distribution: Mozambique, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Botswana and North-West, Limpopo, Mpumalanga, Free State, South Africa.
