Description: |
Robust terrestrial herb up to 80 cm tall. Leaves 6-10, lowest sheath-like, next 2 large and spreading, ovate, up to 24 × 8 cm, glossy light green, not appressed to the ground; remaining leaves much smaller, sheath-like along the stem. Inflorescence up to 22 cm long, densely many-flowered. Bracts up to 3 cm long, lanceolate, acute, reflexed. Flowers pale to deep pink. Sepals and petals pointing forward, or slightly decurved. Petals slightly shorter than median sepal. Lip convex, forming a wide-mouthed hood; spurs 12-20 mm long, parallel to the ovary. |
