Inflorescence few to many-flowered; bracts often large and reflexed. Flowers non-resupinate. Petals and sepals similar, often partly united with the lip. Lip forming a hood with broad or narrow mouth, 2-spurred from the base; spurs rarely 0. Column inside the lip; pollinia 2. Worldwide: Over 100 species, mostly in Africa, with 5 in Madagascar and 2 in Asia. Zimbabwe: 22 taxa. |
