Description: |
Erect perennial herb, up to 1 m, from a semi-woody taproot. Leaves may be entire or dentate, clasping around the stem. This variety is usually more slender than var. friesii with mostly unlobed leaves and the involucres narrowly cylindric (c. 5 mm in diameter). |
