Description: |
Low perennial herb, often mat-forming, sometimes partly submerged. Leaves in a basal rosette, very variable in shape and size. Margins vary from almost entire to deeply lobed. Upper surface bright green, mostly glabrous, with distinct purple-brown midrib; lower surface densely covered in white felt; veining distinct. Flowering stems short, usually less than 8 cm long. Capitula deep yellow with ray florets broad and rounded, distinctly ribbed, sometimes slightly 3-lobed at the apex. |
Notes: | In FZ, said to be recorded only from Mt Nyangani. There were 6 specimens in SRGH on 10 March 2006, all of which have been added to our database. Of those, all but one are from Mt Nyangani. Our location (World's View) is also part of the high altitude Nyanga mountains and not very far from Mt Nyangani. |
