Description:

Erect or suberect branching herb, up to 70 cm tall. Branches winged, up to 2 mm wide, variously hairy, mucronate-dentate along the margins, rarely almost entire. Leaves up to 5 × 1.8 cm, shortly bristly hairy; base decurrent into the wings; margin bristly dentate. Glomerules on hairy, narrowly winged peduncles, terminal or in the upper leaf axils, ellipsoid when mature, up to 7 × 14 mm. See S. gazaensis for comparison. |
