Description: |
Shrubby suffrutex perennial. 45-100 cm tall. Stems 6-angular and whitish pubescent when young. Leaves linear-lanceolate to narrowly oblong, 2-7 cm long, finely whitish pubescent mainly when young; petiole up to 4.5 mm long. Flowers in axillary inflorescences. Bracts green to dark brown, pairs unequal, larger bract subulate to linear-lanceolate, 4.5-10 mm long, spreading pubescent outside and with glandular hairs, only midrib prominent. Corolla 14-24 mm long, pale purple, pale lilac or white with dark purple guidelines; upper lip oblong, 7-14 mm long; lower lip ovate or elliptic, 8-13 mm long. Capsule c. 10 mm long, shortly pubescent. |
