Description: |
Erect perennial herb, up to c. 2 m tall. Stems 1-few, simple or sparsely branched. Leaves (sub)sessile; linear-lanceolate to narrowly elliptic, 4-11.5 cm long, almost hairless or pubescent; apex acute to acuminate; margin regularly toothed. Inflorescences solitary or several borne on upper branches; central spike always largest, 3-5(8) cm long. Calyx puberulous, purple; teeth 3-4 mm long, spiny. Corolla 8-18 mm long, pale to sky blue, pale mauve, pinkish or almost white. |
