Description:	Shrub or small tree. Bark pale greyish-brown, smooth; young branches longitudinally ridged. Leaves obovate to oblanceolate, 12-20 cm, abrubtly tapering into a drip tip, shiny green above, paler below, hairless except for woolly hairs on the prominent midrib below; margin toothed; petiole grooved on top. Flowers in terminal heads, pale yellow, waxy textured; petals not curling backwards. Fruit a subspherical woody capsule, 1-1.5 cm in diameter, dark brown, dehiscent.
