Description:
Climbing herb, up to 2 m tall with wiry stems, short whitish pubescencent. Leaflets 3; terminal triangular-rhombic, 2.3–7 cm long, with broadly acuminate apex with concave sides;, laterals asymmetrical and similar size, finely shortly pubescent on venation and with dense orange gland dots beneath; petiole 1.7–7 cm long; rhachis 0.6–2.2 cm long; stipules ovate to ovate-lanceolate, 2–3 mm long. Inflorescences axillary, 11–15 cm long including 5–6.5 cm long peduncles; pedicels 9 mm long; bractsovate to elliptic, 4 mm long, deciduous. Calyx finely pubescent and glandular. Standard greenish-white to golden-yellow with purple nerves or purple-brown outside, obovate, 13 mm long, slightly pubescent outside; wings bright golden to pale yellow; keel similarly coloured but often dark at the apex. Pods oblong, 2.3 cm long, raised over the seeds, pale yellow-brown with greenish reticulation, shortly puberulous particularly along the margins; margins distinctly raised; stipe 5–9 mm long.

Habitat: Brachystegia woodland and Baikiaea thicket on Kalahari Sand, in open grassy woodlands or riverine woodland and valley grassland.
