Description:
Small shrub up to 1.2 m. Young shoots densely covered with bristly,tubercular-based glandular hairs. Leaves mostly reduced to small linear scales 2-4.5 mm long but sometimes still 12-16-foliolate, up to 10 mm long with minute linear-oblong leaflets 3-4 mm long; stipules thick and congested, ovate-lanceolate, 2.5-7.5 mm long. Inflorescences axillary, 1-3-flowered. Standard yellow lined with brown, obovate, 9-11 mm long;wings and keel yellow. Pods with 1-2 articles, joined by a narrow neck, sparsely bristly, margins thickened.

Derivation of specific name: inyangensis: of the Nyanga (Inyanga) area of the Eastern Highlands
Habitat: In montane grassland and scrub, often near streams.
Altitude range: (metres) 1300 - 2500 m

Worldwide distribution: Restricted to the greater Nyanga area of Zimbabwe, including Serra Choa, Mozambique.
