Description:
Leafless parasitic, densely branched shrub-like plant, up to c.1 m long. Branches pale green with rounded segments. Flowers unisexual on different plants. Bracteal cups sessile in both sexes. Male flowers in 2-3-flowers clusters; female flowers solitary. Fruiting pedicels 1-2 mm long. Berries 5-6 mm long, densely tuberculed when young, less so to nearly smooth and pale yellow-orange when mature.
Notes: Always found on Acacia.

Habitat: In mixed deciduous woodland.

Worldwide distribution: Mozambique, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Namibia, Eswatini and Limpopo, Gauteng, Mpumalanga, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.
