Description: |
Plant acaulescent or with a decumbent stem, 1-2 m long, the stem suckering to form large groups of plants; stems and branches bearing withered leaf remains. Leaves in a dense rosette, becoming recurved, dark green, becoming coppery-red in dry conditions. Inflorescence erect to 1 m long with raceme 15-30 cm long; scattered sterile bracts below the raceme. Flowers sessile. Perianth to 18 mm long, bright yellow, with a central darker stripe. Nectar clear. |
