Description: |
Loosely tufted perennial. Culms 50–100 cm. high. Leaf laminae 2–10 mm. wide. Inflorescence of 2–12 racemes, these 2–10 cm. long, bearing spikelets singly on a flat rhachis c. 1 mm. wide with tuberculate-ciliate margins. Spikelets 3–3.5 mm. long, glabrous, acute. Inferior glume 1/3 length of spikelet, arising immediately below the superior. Superior lemma rugose. |
