Description: |
Herb, 50-75 cm high, forming dense masses. Rhizome 0 or poorly developed. Stipular sheaths c.8 mm, open, deciduous. Leaves c.40 × 1 mm, linear to setaceous, submerged, translucent; apex acuminate; midrib prominent, yellowish. Spikes very small, shorter than leaves, c.4-flowered; stalk often curved above. Carpels 1(-2). Drupe c.1 mm, ovoid, usually tuberculate; beak short. |
