Notes: Shrub; Notes: Fine loose dusty soil. Well-drained. Abundant sprawling shrub 2 m. Pale green velvety stem, leaves and buds. Paired thorns at nodes. Petals pale green-yellow with long hairs on margin and inner surface. Stamens white with rose base. Style rose. Ovary terminal, green. Pleasant scent. Fruit dark red, hard, spherical, indehiscent. Seeds large. Fruits eaten by monkeys and baboons.
