Notes: Suffrutex with a tendency to climb in other shrubs and trees. Main stems light to dark brown, smooth, with a large hook at each node, much branched, lateral stems many, armed. Leaves needle-like, long, in fascicles of 3-5 on the lateral shoots, fascicles far apart. Flowers and fruit absent.
