Notes: Forb with a semi-woody base. Leaves are long and narrow (linear), dark green both above and below, with shallow serrations (occasionally toothed). Leaves have prominent light midrib. Flowers are yellow with c. 14 petals, somewhat resembling a dandelion. Fruits are like swollen, closed flowers. Flowers occur at the tip of long stems, high above leaves. Large taproot.
