Biography

Boyekoli Ebale Congo 2010 is the name of a large biodiversity expedition on the Congo River, organised by several National Belgian Institutes in corporation with the University of Kisangani. The name means 'Study the River' in the Congolese language Lingala. The National Botanic Garden of Belgium was one of the participating institutes and it formed a team of scientists to undertake extensive botanical fieldwork during the expedition. Some participants worked during the entire period of the expedition, while others were replaced about half way during the expedition. All plant specimens collected by the team have been labelled under the name Boyekoli Ebale Botany (BEB).
