Image notes: | "The UTM coords are approx 0657200 E, 8124100 N or lat 16d 57.8m S, long 28d 38.5m E. The flowers were simple, not large but v striking - some plants had orange-red and others yellow. Flat (rather like busy lizzies) with 5 petals. They were striking because so few other plants were in flower. They grew from a bristly green seed head which was at the end of a long green stalk, with very few leaves." |
