Description: | Tree to 10 m. Bark smooth. Leaves palmate; leaflets 3-6, ± elliptic, to 30 cm long. Flowers opening before the leaves appear. Calyx usually with 10 basal glands. Petals to 15 cm long, white to pink, oblong-linear. Stamens numerous, separate nearly to the base. Capsule fusiform to 15 cm long. |
