Description: | Multi-stemmed shrub or small tree. Branches reddish-brown, armed with paired straight spines. Leaves, bipinnate with only one pair of pinnae; leaflets in 7-18 widely spaced pairs, oblong, 10-25 mm long, hairless. Flowers in axillary spikes, yellow. Pods slender, woody, 10-25 cm long, straight, somewhat constricted between the seeds, indehiscent. |
Notes: | FZ 3(1), p. 11 records Prosopis limensis Benth. as being cultivated in Zimbabwe. It is not known whether there are one or two cultivated species in Zimbabwe. |
