Common names:	Kurrajong (English)
Description:	Tree to 20 m. Leaves ovate, glabrous, glossy, entire (or 3-5-lobed), resembling those of a poplar (Populus sp.). Inflorescence a panicle. Calyx white or greenish-yellow outside, with spots of darker colour within. Follicles to 7 cm, glabrous.
Notes:
Derivation of specific name:	populneus: from the Latin populnus, poplar-like, referring to the similarity of the adult leaves to those of European species of poplar.
Flowering time:	Aug-Nov
Worldwide distribution:	Australia: Queensland and New South Wales.
Growth form(s):	Tree.
