Description:	Tree to 20 m or more. leaves: lamina deeply palmately 5-7-lobed, glabrous, glossy. Flowers bright scarlet. Calyx hairless, 2 cm long. Fruit to 10 cm long, long-stalked, hairless.
Notes:
Derivation of specific name:	acerifolius: resembling an Acer (maple), presumably referring to the leaves.

Worldwide distribution:	New South Wales, Australia
