Description: | Slender shrub up to 2 m, rarely a small tree. Stems square. Leaves opposite, oblanceolate to narrowly obovate, somewhat leathery, shiny bright green; margin with scattered teeth mainly on the apical half. Flowers in few-flowered axillary clusters, white, mauve or lilac. Fruit an ovoid-ellipsoid capsule, dull yellow to pale brown, tipped by the persistent style. |
