Description: | Small to medium-sized tree. Leaves opposite, narrowly lanceolate, dark green. Flowers in branched, axillary heads, creamy-white, showy; petals falling separately; filaments long, c. 4 cm. Fruit up to 4.5 cm in diameter, oval to spherical, yellow when ripe. |
Notes: | Introduced for its striking flowers and the edible fruit. It is known as an occasional naturalised escape, particularly in the Chirinda Forest. |
