Description: | Tree, to 20 m with a straight erect trunk; branchlets lenticellate. Leaves ovate to broadly elliptic; apex long-acuminate; margin crenate-dentate; petiole reddish. Flowers in dense, ± erect, cylindric, axillary racemes. Stamens in fascicles alternating with the sepals. Petals 0. Fruit a spherical capsule. Seeds with long white cottony hairs. |
