Description: | Rather similar to C. dactylon but with shorter culms (4–15 cm), filiform leaf laminas up to 1 mm wide, an inflorescence with only 1–3 racemes and glumes only 1/4–1/3 as long as the spikelet. A native of South Africa introduced as a lawn grass and sometimes escaping. |
