Flowers also large and showy, red, yellow, purple or orange; calyx 5-merous; corolla tube cylindric, 5-lobed. Stamens 2. Fruit an oblong capsule. Seeds 6-8, orbicular. Worldwide: 30 species in tropical America Zimbabwe: 1 cultivated taxon. |
