Description:
Slender perennial herb, up to 35 cm high, growing from corms. Foliage leaves 4-5, the lower 2 basal, linear, distinctly thickened on the margins and mid-rib. Flowers usually 4-8, rarely up to 12, inclined towards the ground, pale grey-blue or pink with markings on the lower lateral tepals.
Notes:
Derivation of specific name: zimbabweensis: from Zimbabwe where the type was collected
Habitat: Rocky montane grassland

Worldwide distribution: Eastern Highlands of Zimbabwe and adjacent areas in Mozambique.
