Description:
Perennial bulbous herb, up to 1.2 m, with overlapping reddish scales on the bulb. Leaves appearing after flowering. Inflorescence an erect terminal raceme. Flowers whitish to purple-brown, subtended by whitish bracts with a small spur near the base.
