Notes: Shrub; Notes: Shrub up to 2 m high. No flowers. Fruit green when young, maturing black. Leaves with very distinct black bacterial nodules. Common on small islands opposite the youth camp. Soils alluvial sands. Rocky habitat (quartzite) with mixed vegetation. Soils shallow sandy loams.
