Description of the genus

Shrub or small tree. Stipules sheathing the stem, persistent for many years. Leaves imparipinnate with 2-3 pairs of leaflets; margin deeply toothed. Inflorescence of erect racemes.Flowers bisexual. Calyx with 5 epicalyx lobes and 5 calyx lobes. Petals 5. Stamens 10, dimorphic. Disk annular. Carpels 2. Stigmas hooked. Fruit an achene.

Worldwide: 1 species in south-eastern Africa (South Africa, Mozambique and Zimbabwe)

Zimbabwe: 1 taxon.
