Description of the genus

Climber (in ours). Leaves opposite, petiolate; lamina glabrous, entire. Inflorescence cymose, 15-30-flowered. Sepals ovate, acute, fused at the base. Corolla rotate, 5-lobed; lobes oblong, obtuse, recurved. Corona tubular, terminating in 10 teeth. Pollinia pendent. Follicles smooth, ellipsoid, hairless, winged (in ours). Seeds with entire marginal wing and a tuft of hairs.

Worldwide: 2 species in southern Africa: Angola and Zimbabwe.

Zimbabwe: 1 taxon.
