Description of the genus

Robust glabrous perennial stoloniferous herb. Leaves 1-pinnate with sessile leaflets; cauline leaves very small; leaflet margin dentate. Inflorescences of compound leaf-opposed umbels. Bracts and bracteoles well-developed. Sepals triangular. Petals broadly obcordate; apex inflexed. Fruit subspherical, broader than long; ribs poorly developed; lateral ribs not marginal.

Worldwide: 1 species widespread in Eurasia, North America and in Africa from Sudan and Ethiopia south to South Africa
