Deciduous tree, to 20 m tall. Bark grey. Leaves: petiole 3-10 mm; lamina 3-10 × 3.5-6 cm, ovate to ovate-elliptic, thickly papery, inconspicuously puberulent above when young, with hairs scattered on major veins and sometimes tufted in vein axils with age beneath; base ± symmetric to moderately oblique; margin subentire to crenate on apical half. Flowers fascicled in leaf axils and stem bases. Drupe ± globose, 5-7(-8) mm in diameter Stone white, ± globose, reticulately foveolate, ribbed. |
