Description: | Shrub or small tree, to 5 m. Trunk and branches armed with prickles. Leaves 2-pinnate, prickly; petiole and rhachis without glands; pinnae 1-4 pairs; leaflets 4-7 pairs per pinna, oblong-elliptic. Flowers yellow, borne in 10-20 cm long racemes. Sepals 5, the lowermost larger and with pectinate fimbriae. Petals 5, up to 1 cm long. Pods pinkish-brown to red, oblong, thick, indehiscent. |
