| Notes: | Virgate tree 8 m. SBH 12 cm. Bark smooth, grey. Flowers produced between 4 and 6 m above ground, on trunk and on short lateral branches in leaf axils. Pedicels dull reddish. Flower lacquer red. Disc cylindrical, ± 4 mm high. Ovary on gynophore yellow hairy. Stima yellow. Anther thecae brown, on a yellow shield. Stamens fall leaving a gynoecium-like round cage on the peduncle. |
