Description of the genus

Trees. Leaves imparipinnate; leaflets of 3-4 pairs. Flowers white, cream or yellow, in axillary racemes. Calyx with campanulate tube. Petals 5, with linear claw, unequal, the standard slightly broader than the other petals. Stamens 10. Fruit stalked, drupaceous, ellipsoid, indehiscent. Seed solitary with black testa.

Worldwide: 2 species in southern Africa

Zimbabwe: 1 cultivated taxon.
