Description of the genus

A vigorous growing evergreen shrub which can reach 4 m; Initially erect but later leaning or scrambling. Leaves dark green, palmately 5-lobed with entire margins. Inflorescences terminal, pale greenish, branching composed of round umbellules.
An artificial genus with a single species developed in France by crossing Fatsia japonica with Hedera hibernica.

Worldwide: 1 species in temperate regions.

Zimbabwe: 1 cultivated taxon.
